Operational Plan
Please read our Operational Plan (Policy Document) which is located under the signing in book in the entrance hall.
Fees
Parents are invoiced, and the terms fees are payable promptly at the start of term however invoices can be sent monthly or half termly if requested.
The early years grants are available to all children from the term following their 3rd birthday. Children are entitled to up to 15 hours free nursery education, subject to availability. Additional hours are charged at £4 per hour.
For children who are nor yet funded will receive a discount off the fee, providing that they attend 2 or more sessions a week. A single weekly session will still be charged at £4 per hour.
Because of the nature of grants and staffing, (following a settling in period) we do require a full terms notice in writing if you choose to withdraw your child, or a full term’s fees in lieu of notice.
Age Of Admittance
The school accepts children from 2 years 6 months to five years old for enrolment.
Leaving and Collecting Children
If any person other than a parent is calling for your child, we must be informed who that person is beforehand. Please see our Operational Plan (which is located under the signing in book in the entrance hall).
Because of the narrow lanes leading to the school and the limited space in the car park we are sure you will appreciate the need to exercise great care on approaching, entering and leaving the school.
People using the car park do so entirely at their own risk. The school accepts no responsibility for injury, damage, or loss to persons, vehicles or property when using the parking facilities.
Sickness
Any child suffering from a doubtful rash, sore throat, discharge from eyes or nose, vomiting or diarrhoea, should be kept at home until the symptoms have disappeared plus at least 24 hours. Should a child become sick whilst at school every attempt will be made to contact parents. Please ensure that you indicate where you can be contacted during school hours. The school reserves the right to send a child to hospital in an emergency.
Clothing
We supply aprons for art and craft work but clothing may still become soiled - older clothes are advisable. There is a supply of clothes at school for accidents, but as we always try to promote independence, it is as well to dress your child in trousers or skirts which are easy to manage whilst using the toilet, i.e. avoiding dungarees, stiff belts and buttons. During winter months particularly, please supply a pair of named wellington boots or make sure that your child wears sturdy shoes for outside play.
School sweatshirts and polo shirts are avaiable for purchase. The school uniform is entirely optional.
Daily Snack Time
A healthy snack will be provided mid-morning on a daily basis. Please make sure the school is aware of any allergies your child may have.
Parents are required to provide a packed lunch for their child. Please see our Operational Policy for further information.
Outings
We take the children on short nature walks during the term. These are within easy walking distance of the school and a list is on the notice board requiring your signature giving permission for these outings.
